While I am a licensed child and family therapist in private practice in 2 states, when you register or schedule services provided by All of You is Welcome, LLC, it is important to note that we are not entering into a therapeutic relationship. Parent coaching does not include a diagnosis or more formal treatment planning. Additionally, while we may explore aspects of your family history and early development in our 1-on-1 parent coaching sessions (always with your consent), the focus of parent coaching work is much more on addressing and collaborating on generating solutions to the present challenges you are facing with your child and in your family, day-to-day.
One of the primary benefits to coaching versus therapy is that while I am only licensed to provide therapy to clients in 2 states, I am able to provide parent coaching support and education to parents from all over the world.

Insurance will not cover or reimburse for parent coaching fees.

Yes. Following the free 20-minute free consultation or during the registration process, you will receive a written Agreement that will require an e-signature prior to attending your first full parent coaching appointment, or prior to attending Week 1 of the parent course.

While we will be collaborating and strategizing together on ways to help your child’s nervous system states (and yes, behaviors) to shift and change for the better, we will be relying on and incorporating tools supported by the most current research about what behavior really is. Spoiler Alert: The research we now have about human behavior does not support behaviorism and the use of rewards and punishments like timeouts, spanking, or withdrawing privileges as an effective way of helping children with histories of trauma, neurodivergence and big, baffling behaviors.
